Thinking of Switching Banks?
Switching bank accounts can be a hassle when you have multiple automatic drafts. Bank of Travelers Rest understands this and wants to make your transition as easy as possible. By completing the switch kit information, we can help move your automatic drafts to your new Bank of Travelers Rest account taking all the pressure off you. Step 1: Open a Bank of Travelers Rest Account.
To apply for an account, you can either complete an online application or visit a branch location convenient to you.

Step 2: Stop Using Your Old Account.
Keep your old account open until your direct deposits and automatic payments are switched to your new account and all your outstanding payments clear.

Step 3: Complete the automated payment list included in the application.
Bank of Travelers Rest will switch any automatic payments from your old account to your new Bank of Travelers Rest account. Simply list your automatic payments on the Automatic Payment page included in the application.

Step 4: Change or sign-up for Direct Deposit.
Complete the direct deposit enrollment form during the application process to inform your employer or other organizations that you have a new Bank of Travelers Rest account.  

Step 5: Close Your Old Account.
Once your checks have cleared and your automatic payments have been changed to your new account, fill out the closed account form to inform your former bank that you wish to close your account.
