A You must activate your Cash Card prior to use.  To activate, call the automated Customer Service number (1-800-418-3971) or visit the website (https://www.onlinecardaccess.com/vistibgift ).

How do I check my card balance?
Q How do I check my card balance?
A There are four ways to check your account balance.  You may logon to your online cash card account (FREE), call Bank of Travelers Rest (FREE), call the Automated Customer Service number (FREE), or visit an ATM location ($1.00).

Accessing balance online – follow the steps below to access your account

  • Enter web address in browser: https://www.onlinecardaccess.com/vistibgift
  • Enter Card Number in space provided
  • Enter PIN in space provided (note: The PIN is located on the card carrier where the card was attached.)
  • Click “Log In”.
  • The balance will be displayed in the upper right-hand side of page.

Call Bank of Travelers Rest – phone number 864-834-9031 or toll free 888-557-2265 and speak with any Customer Service Representative.

Call the Automated Customer Service number: 1-800-418-3971. Follow the steps below:

  • Dial number
  • Press 2 for English.  Follow prompts for Spanish
  • Enter account number and press #
  • Enter PIN and press #

Visit an ATM: Perform a normal balance inquiry at any ATM.

Q How do I make a purchase with the Cash Card?
A Your Cash Card works almost exactly like your VISA debit card.  You may use the card as both a credit card and PIN based card.  Note: Due to ATM usage fees, it is cheaper to use your cash card like a debit/credit card instead of using the card as an ATM card.  There are two types of transactions you cannot perform with a Cash Card – Cash Advances and Pay-at-the-Pump transactions.

A If you know the balance on your card, you may ask the merchant to split the transaction.  Simply tell the merchant how much you would like to place on your Cash Card and present another form of payment for the remainder of the bill.

Can I use the card at an ATM?
Q Can I use the card at an ATM?
A Yes, you may use the card at the ATM anywhere you see the following symbols – PULSE, NYCE, Star and Plus. There are fees associated with ATM usage.  Please refer to the fee sheet entitled “Cash Card Customer Fees” for fee details.  Note:  When performing an ATM withdrawal, you must select “from checking”.

Q Why did my VISA Cash Card transaction get declined?
A
  • If the amount of the transaction, including fees, exceeds the Cash Card balance, the card will be declined.
  • If you are performing online purchases and did not give the bank your address, your card will be declined. To add your address, simply contact the banks at toll free 888-557-2265.
  • If you are performing a cash advance or pay-at-the-pump transaction.
